MAERSK Line has announced enhancements on the North and West India to Europe service with the reintroduction of its ME3 service. This is in keeping with the line’s continuous focus on refining operations and revisiting its products and services based on customer needs and requirements.

According to Maersk India, the ME3 has been reintroduced with new ports of call and keeping in mind the focus on growth in the dynamic Mediterranean/Black Sea region. “This is a dedicated product for the Mediterranean-Middle East/India trade. While offering best in class transit times, the new ME3 is designed for direct Turkey coverage with a direct call in Istanbul (Ambarli)”, said Rizwan Zumar, Managing Director, Maersk India.

Briefing on the new rotation of the reintroduced ME3 service, Rizwan said that the service will cover the following ports: Pipavav (India) – Jawaharlal Nehru (India) – Jebel Ali (U.A.E) – Salalah (Oman) – Port Said (Egypt) – Ambarli (Turkey) – Gioia Tauro (Italy) – Port Said (Egypt) – Jebel Ali (U.A.E) 

The first westbound vessel with new rotation was Nedlloyd Asia at Nhava Sheva on April 11, 2010.
